Editorial policy and sources

Immigration rules change and are easy to misstate. This is how we keep SingaPR accurate, and how you can check us.

Sourcing standard

  1. Official first. Facts about eligibility, process, fees, documents and timelines come from ICA, MOM, Gov.sg (including ask.gov.sg answers marked as updated by the agency), the Economic Development Board for the Global Investor Programme, and the National Population and Talent Division for statistics.
  2. Quoted, not paraphrased, where wording matters. Eligibility categories and assessment factors are shown in ICA's own words.
  3. Three kinds of statement, always labelled. Official (stated by an agency), advisory (our reading of what the official position implies, or common practice), and estimate (third-party figures, clearly marked). We never present an estimate as an official rule.
  4. No invented criteria. ICA publishes no points system, weights, thresholds, approval rates or rejection reasons. Where an agency publishes nothing, our pages say “ICA does not publish…” rather than filling the gap.

Verification and freshness

  • Every guide displays “Last verified against ICA/MOM information” with a date, plus the sources checked and when each was accessed.
  • Pages are re-verified at least every 90 days, and immediately when an agency publishes a change (for example ICA's Re-Entry Permit revisions effective 1 December 2025, or MOM's qualifying-salary changes announced for 2027).
  • Dates are never bumped without a real check. An internal audit lists overdue pages and pages watching a changed topic, and an automated monitor re-reads the official pages our figures depend on.

Translations

Every language version of a guide is rendered from the same verified figures: fees, salary thresholds and processing standards are stored once and inserted into each language at render time, so a change reaches every version together. Translated prose is prepared by SingaPR's editorial team from the English original; official names of agencies and passes keep their English form alongside the translation. If a translation and the English original ever differ, the English original is the reference.

Corrections

If you find an error, e-mail us via the contact page with the page and the official source. Material corrections are logged in the page's revision history with the date and what changed.

Authors, reviewers and AI assistance

Content is written and reviewed by the SingaPR editorial team. Drafting is assisted by AI tools; every published fact is checked by a person against the official source listed. Named author and reviewer profiles will be added as the editorial team is confirmed.

Tools and assessments

Our tools separate official eligibility (ICA's categories, applied literally) from profile readiness (a transparent SingaPR heuristic over the factors ICA names). The methodology, weights and limitations are published on the methodology page and repeated inside each tool. No tool outputs an approval probability.

Commercial independence

Referral arrangements with participating consultancies are disclosed on the professional help page. They do not influence what a guide says or what a tool returns, and partners cannot edit content.
