What help with a PR application actually includes

Typically included

• Eligibility review — confirming which ICA category applies and whether conditions such as the student residence requirement are met.
• Document preparation — building the document set from ICA's checklist, checking recency (employer letter within 3 months, six months of payslips), translations and consistency.
• Application review — checking the online form for errors, omissions and inconsistencies before you submit through your own Singpass.
• Submission support — guiding you through the ICA e-Service, payment and declarations. You (or your sponsor) submit; consultancies cannot submit on your behalf.
• After the outcome — explaining the In-Principle Approval and completion of formalities, or the appeal and reapplication rules after a rejection.

Never included — from anyone

• Guaranteed or “high probability” approval. ICA publishes no approval criteria and decides holistically.
• Expedited processing or any influence over ICA.
• Knowledge of why a previous application was rejected — ICA does not disclose reasons.
• A points score or percentage. Any figure offered is the consultancy's own estimate.

Fees

Fees vary widely by scope and by firm. Treat any figure you see online as a third-party estimate. Ask for a written quote that states the scope (review only, full preparation, appeal), what is excluded, refund terms and whether government fees (S$100 on submission; S$120 at completion of formalities) are included.
